Varietal Composition: 100% estate fruit - 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 9% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc
Since 1987, the Hurtado family, relocating from Patzímaro de Aviña, Mexico, has played a vital role at Duckhorn Vineyards. In 1998, we honored their commitment by naming a site after their hometown, recognizing their invaluable contributions to Duckhorn Vineyards.
Estamos eternamente agradecidos por su arduo trabajo y dedicación.

Winemaker Notes
Trusted for producing wines that are quintessentially Duckhorn, this Cabernet Sauvignon from our prized Patzimaro Vineyard is sourced from some of the estate’s oldest and most consistent vines. Aromas of milk chocolate, fig compote and Kalamata olive tapenade are layered with hints of sage, lavender and mulberry. The palate is rich and savory, with dense boysenberry and marzipan framed by silky yet robust tannins and balanced acidity. A beautifully polished finish carries the wine to a refined close.
