2023 Duckhorn Vineyard 50th Anniversary Napa Valley Legacy Blanc

Varietal Composition: 66% Sauvignon Blanc, 34% Sémillon

Since 1982, Duckhorn Vineyards has been dedicated to crafting expressive white wines from premier sites across Napa Valley. Legacy Blanc builds on this tradition as a refined blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, sourced from Calistoga, Oakville, and Rutherford, with most of the Sémillon coming from the historic, dry-farmed Tofanelli Ranch in Calistoga. Fermented and aged in a combination of stainless steel and French oak, the wine balances freshness with texture, uniting vibrant aromatics with added depth and a subtle, polished richness. The result is a layered and elegant white blend that re?ects both site diversity and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Winemaker Notes

The 2023 Duckhorn Vineyards Legacy Blanc marks the inaugural release of a wine rooted in heritage and place. Aromas of lemon balm, pear, ginger, and pineapple lead into a vibrant palate of Meyer lemon and ripe pear, layered with juicy salinity and refined minerality. A portion of the blend underwent stabulation prior to fermentation, enhancing aromatic lift and mouthfeel, while 10% was flashed in second-year French oak barrels to build added texture and complexity. Sourced from premier Napa Valley sites, this first vintage sets an elegant foundation for a lasting white blend legacy.
