Story 36
24 Hours of Harvest
At 10 p.m., the night pick at Three Palms Vineyard is already underway. Amanda McCrossin joins winemaker Renée Ary for harvest, walking the rows, working through the night, and following the fruit to the crush pad as the early-morning rush begins. Duckhorn has made wine from Three Palms since its very first vintage in 1978. Nearly five decades later, every harvest still starts the same way: in the vineyard, in the dark, waiting to see what the year will bring.
