Duckhorn Wine Company Names David Galzignato As The Winemaker For Paraduxx

(Napa Valley, Calif.) –Duckhorn Wine Company is pleased to announce the hiring of David Galzignato as the new winemaker for its Paraduxx winery. In this capacity, Galzignato will oversee production of the company's Paraduxx wine portfolio, which includes the proprietary Paraduxx blend, the label's Postmark wines, and the new Parajaxx Rosé. Galzignato replaces Bill Nancarrow as the winemaker for Paraduxx following Nancarrow's promotion to Duckhorn Vineyards winemaker and executive winemaker for Duckhorn Wine Company's Napa Valley properties.
Having worked with fruit from premium vineyards throughout Napa Valley, Sonoma County, Washington State and Italy, Galzignato brings a diverse and extensive understanding of winemaking and viticulture to his new role. Prior to joining Paraduxx, Galzignato was the winemaker for such wineries as Mark David Winery, Lewis Cellars and Charles Krug Winery. In addition to his hands-on winemaking work in the United States, Galzignato also brings an international perspective to winemaking and viticulture having worked with fruit from several properties in Italy including Tuscany's Tenuta Di Arceno, Piedmont's Ada Nada Winery and Lombardy's Le Fracce.

The hiring of Galzignato rounds out Duckhorn Wine Company's winemaking team, which also includes Zach Rasmuson, the vice president, general manager and winemaker of Goldeneye, the company's Anderson Valley Pinot Noir label. Says company founder Dan Duckhorn, "Having three winemakers is an essential part of our philosophy. It allows us to ensure the integrity and identity of each of our winery estates.
