Our Company and Wine Estates

Duckhorn Wine Company

Duckhorn Wine Company is a collection of small winery estates focused on site-specific wines of distinction from the Napa and Anderson valleys. The Duckhorn Wine Company family includes Duckhorn Vineyards, Paraduxx, and Goldeneye. With grapes selected from eleven estate vineyards, as well as a variety of sought-after vineyard sites within the Napa and Anderson Valley appellations, each winery is presented with a canvas of lots from which to blend its premium wines. In addition to careful grape selection, innovative winemaking techniques and a premium barrel-aging program are integral to Duckhorn Wine Company's unwavering commitment to quality. Limited quantities of all of the wines are available direct from the winery, throughout the United States and in the international community.

Duckhorn Vineyards

Co-founded by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn in 1976, Duckhorn Vineyards has been crafting Bordeaux varietals from the Napa Valley for nearly 30 years. Duckhorn Vineyards' seven meticulously farmed estate vineyards, located throughout the various microclimates of the Napa Valley, are an essential element in making wines of the highest quality. One of the first wineries to focus on Merlot as a premium varietal, Duckhorn Vineyards now produces four elegant Merlot and four distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon bottlings to showcase the characteristics of its various vineyard sites. In addition, the winery produces a full-flavored Sauvignon Blanc, and an exceptional red Bordeaux blend under the Decoy label.

Paraduxx

Paraduxx is a unique Napa Valley red wine with its foundation in Zinfandel, California's resident grape, and Cabernet Sauvignon. Created in 1994 to provide the winemaking team with the opportunity to explore other varietals, Paraduxx was quickly recognized as having its own personality and style. Blended with Napa Valley mountain fruit as well as valley floor grapes from Estate vineyards, Paraduxx has rich, full fruit flavors and soft, integrated tannins, making it a natural complement to a wide array of foods. For each vintage, an artist's interpretation of a pair of ducks native to the Pacific Flyway is featured on the label.

Goldeneye

Goldeneye began making premium quality, cool climate Pinot Noir from its estate winery in the Anderson Valley in 1997. Blending grapes from four estate vineyards planted to 23 clones of Pinot Noir on 11 different rootstocks, Goldeneye is dedicated to crafting wines of refinement and elegance from a rich palette of terroir-inspired fruit. Reflecting the Mendocino Coast's unique marine influences, sites and soils, these grapes create an elegant, sophisticated Pinot. To further enhance natural depth and complexity, winemaker Zach Rasmuson selects only a small percentage of the finest fruit for each vintage, before applying small-lot, artisan winemaking techniques. The winery also produces an enticing, sister Pinot Noir called Migration.
